Aloha Bones

The Aloha State is paradise to many different individuals, to fly anglers it’s the super bowl of bonefishing. The trade winds can make the easiest of cast a challenging feat, and spotting a fish close to impossible. Even after a hookup, every angler will have to carefully keep their fish from heading into the coral, which will result in a lost fly line and a story about the one that got away. Hawaii is not the location of easy eats or multi fish days, but it is the home of double digit fish. The difficult conditions have potential of a big payout, and for those wanting to join the ten pound bonefish club, Hawaii has anglers skipping the Bahamas. Ambassadors Amber and Brendon Toner headed to Hawaii for their honeymoon, but unlike many newlyweds they found themselves up before sunrise stalking the flats for these giants.
