Team Red
One of the greatest things about operating in our neck of the woods is being able to access some of the best waters for salmon and steelhead fishing in the nation. And that we’re so darn close to Forks, Washington, the stomping ground for legendary guide, Bob Kratzer. Bob knows a thing or two about catching these awesome and powerful creatures. For the last 22 years, he and wife, Traci, have operated Anglers Guide Service and have grown their business to be one of the biggest and baddest guide services in the state. Bob and five guides work famous waters like the Sol Duc, Bogachiel, Calawah, Hoh, and Queets, taking clients to the best spots where fish in excess of 30 pounds are often found. But that’s just in the Fall and Winter. In the Spring, the boys work Spring Chinook that make their way in to the Lewis, Columbia, and Cowlitz rivers. In the Summer, Alaskan salmon become the focus and the Kratzer family heads to the 49th State to operate Alaska Kingfishers, a small tent camp along the banks of the Nushagak River. As you can see, this man knows how to give a rod a workout, which is why we are pleased Bob agreed to help us design and build our CPX Series of Salmon and Steelhead rods.
