Redington Brings Smooth Casting and High performance to the Pursuit Fly Rod and Reel Series

August 24, 2010 (Bainbridge Island, WA) ? Redington is proud to introduce a new series of rods and reels perfect for the novice angler as well as the fishing enthusiast fittingly named the Pursuit. With great attention to detail in action refinement and design, the Pursuit series is an approachable and affordable option for every angler.

The Pursuit rods are smooth casting graphite fly rods that have plenty of high performance features. A durable, anodized aluminium reel seat is ideal for all fresh and saltwater applications, and the handles are refined to be a Half Wells grip on the lighter weights and a Full Wells on the heavier rods. All rods have alignment dots to ensure precision in setup and updated trim details on every rod give a very polished look and feel. The series includes both 2-piece rods at $99.95 and 4-piece rods at $119.95 and outfits from $159.95 for the 2-piece and $179.95 for all 4-piece outfits. A 4-piece saltwater outfit rounds out the family and all rods range from 3-weight to 9-weight.  Outfits include a Pursuit rod and reel and a weight appropriate RIO Mainstream Line.

The Pursuit reel has a lightweight design yet is durable enough to be ideal for the beginning angler all the way up through the enthusiast. The large arbor design provides easier and quicker retrieves, and the durable aluminium frame construction and easy to change spool make these reels very user-friendly. The reels easily convert to right or left hand retrieve, and a strong disc drag allow tremendous fish stopping power. All reels are charcoal color and come in either 4/5/6 weight or 7/8/9 to retail for $59.95.
