If they were avialable in a size 15 shoe I would be tempted. Really ready to buy if in a boot foot.
This latest offering from Redington represents a big step forward in the technology of wader design and construction by utilizing ultrasonic welding and eliminating stitching which represent a potential source of leakage. Welded seams reduces overall weight and results in more comfortable fit and improved ease of movement as well. These waders are also designed and cut to allow a greater range of movement without binding. We are impressed with not only the comfort but the sturdy durability as well.
Just got these and decided to give them a try out on the river. I got them for ease of getting in and out of w/ the zipper in front. But after wearing them for a day I found that they were more comfortable than my old pair. I could move around free and easy and they seem to be reinforced in all the right places. The pockets are nice plus to store your license and gloves and the hand warmer pockets were nice for a quick warm up. Overall I'm very excited about these waders and can't wait to try them this winter.
I live in my waders, and have had a pair of the original CPX zip front waders. I found that the membrane actually eperated from the shell and crumbled by the end of my second season. I hope to find better results with the new sonic pro
I like that zipper! I can drink hot coffee all day long!
There is only one word to describe these waders, Amazing! We have tested numerous waders here at STSFreaks and Redington has set the bar high with these waders! I have used the waders on at least 10 trips since receiving them almost a month ago and I couldn’t say a bad thing about them. From the full Center-Front zipper to the 5 mil. thick booties, this pair of waders was meant for the the fisherman! http://stsfreaks.com/2011/08/redington-sonic-pro-wader-review/
I think the Sonic Pro is a solid product and definitely worth taking note of if you’re looking for a really good set of waders for a solid price. Redington has told me that they’ve had very few pairs back and of course will back up those that do come back. http://powfly.org/2011/10/30/redington-sonic-pro-waders/
Ok, definitely in the market for a zip wader. I'm looking at the Simms G4Z because of the lifetime guarentee. Do i get the same with Redington???

The perfect pair of waders at a great price. Once you go zip-front you won't go back. Just imagine being on the stream when natures calls having a zip-front pair of waders. GO-RED!!
The Sonic-Pro waders with its sonic welded seam technology is one of the most important contributions to fly fishing since the introduction of the graphite rod. Historically, the finest waders would invariably spring a leak somewhere in the stitched seam. My Sonic-Pros have not had one leak after over 100 days of use. They are the best fitting, lightest, toughest and most comfortable waders I have ever worn. I could not be more pleased. John S. Barr
Excellent waders! Even in the frigid waters of Northern Ontario these waders stand above the rest! Made fairly large, consider this when ordering a size! I originally ordered a ML but downsized to a M, I am 6' 180lbs. The most comfortable and fisher-friendly wader on the market!
Finally got out on the water to try out my Sonic Pros and was very impressed, I spent 6 of the 7 days on everything from big rivers to brush covered creeks and the waders took anything I could throw at them. This is the first pair of zipper front waders I have owned and cant see my self going back to normal chest waders anytime soon. I would highly recommend these to anyone, Ive had quite a few pairs of waders over the years and these far surpass anything Ive used. Great job Redington! These make a day of fishing even more enjoyable.
That's funny, i have waders i have worn for 1,000 days without a leak. (They have stitches.) I get it on the no-stitches, just curious how well the laminated/welded seams stand up to abuse over longer periods of time than 100 days. as a guide, i fish upwards of 250 days a year. thanks
I have been wearing waders since way before neoprene let alone Gortex. I recently got a pair of your Sonic Pro Zip Front waders and you Skagit wading shoes. These are surperb. Best fitting and most comfortable waders ever and the wading shoes are light weight and yet protect your feet totally. I was also able to wear a size 11 instead of a 12 as they have the room without having to add length. I've retired my 4 pair of S---- and my 2 pair of C----- wading shoes. Now if only your wading pant would have a 40in waist in the medium size like the Med King in the long wader. When we get older we get a little larger around the middle.f I'm sold on Redington stuff from now on.
Tested these waders and they are great. Only thing I didn't like was the tape on top of my left foot was tight on large size. Went back to the flyshop and they traded my large for large king (which was really nice because I fished in large). Good stuff! D.T.
I've never reviewed any product before, but had to say THANKS to the Redington folks for the awesome waders and excellent service. No leaks, good fit, breathable. Good job!
I am waiting for bootfoot too. Is there anyone else with bootfoot waders on their wish list?
Have used my zip-front Sonic-Pro waders for 20 days this past month, I can say they are excellent; true-to-size charts, comfortable and well designed. The zipper front is something I'll not ever be able to live without. They appear to be durable and given Redington's reputation for backing their products, I have no worries. The zipper was a bit stiff but some liquid dish soap & water applied to it loosened it up nicely. The price is unbeatable, Kudos!
These are great waders at firs i was skeptical but having worn them for a good solid year i can not say enough good things about these waders.I was always a Simms fan but i tried these out and are much much cheaper in cost but i find they are just as nice as any simms.
