Got the #8 outfit at BassPro for a great price. Caught several nice (but small fish)...
Bought this kit starting my fly career this past February. Very impressed with the quality and styling of the rod/reel, but most importantly, their customer service. After 3 trips and probably 20 fish, i broke my rod on a monster. They replaced it in a few short days and saved me rescheduling a trip. Kudos to Redington. They've earned a customer for life!!!
picked up a 9' 8-weight. It's my second rod and is a high quality setup for the money. This rod/reel setup casts easily and is light enough to fish for hours. This looks like the most bang for the buck on the market these days.
bought the crosswater 3yrs, ago as a starter rod, love it everyday I use it. Realy good choice, good quality price for anyone that want to learn fly fishing without breaking the bank.
I have the 476-2 outfit. I use this setup to target panfish and it excels. I generally use #12 floating spiders or #14 grub imitations and the rod loads and casts very nicely. I like the slower action as compared to my Pursuit 6wt. I like the reel too but when you are targeting panfish, almost any reel will do. I was worried that the large arbor reel would feel ungainly on the 4wt rod but the outfit feels nimble and nicely balanced. Great outfit for the price.
Just got a Crosswater 590-4 and started learning fly fishing. This fly set is great for beginner like me to like to start fly fishing. The overall of the rod and reel weight are very balance and feel comfortable when casting. Great price for the begineer which doesn't burn a hole in your wallet. Have fun picking up fly fishing Thomas Singapore
Got a 9' 5 weight for my fiance. I paid a lot more my rig, but if i knew then what i know now, we'd each have a Redington. The fact that it comes with RIO line speaks volumes. Redington is focused on quality gear for a quality experience- not "froo-froo" image.
